Marinero Beach

Description: It is approximately 656 feet (200 meters) long. Width varies between 131 and 164 feet (40 and 50 meters). Water and sand are similar to Playa Principal ( Main Beach ). It is an ideal spot for surfing, especially for beginners. It has a hotel and a restaurant, locker rooms, showers, public bathrooms and umbrellas for rent.


Location: Puerto Escondido: Is located 165 miles (265 kilometers) south of the City of Oaxaca via Federal Highway 131. Approximate travel time: 5 hours.
To access Marinero, you must take the Coast Highway in the direction of Puerto Angel. Turn right after 656 feet (200 meters), and continue until reaching the beach. You can also walk there from Playa Princ ipal.
